The Best Red Carpet Looks at the 2019 Fashion Awards

One of the biggest nights in fashion has just begun in London. Celebrities, from Rihanna to Julia Roberts, have flown out to attend the glitzy British Fashion Awards at Royal Albert Hall. The ceremony, hosted by the British Fashion Council, recognizes the most innovative UK designers. And sometimes, some big surprise guests come: last year, Meghan Markle was a guest presenter and among them. Here, the best dresses on the London red carpet.

The 2019 Fashion Award last night, December 2, and as you would expect from the biggest names in British fashion, the red carpet at The Royal Albert Hall is full of fabulous festive looks from A-list favourites and rising newcomers alike. Remember when Meghan Markle surprised everyone — even Clare Waight Keller — with her appearance last year in a one-shouldered black Givenchy gown?

The event is run by the British Fashion Council and honours the best in both British and global design talent each year. This year, Bottega Veneta has nominated across several categories thanks to Daniel Lee’s expert revival of the Italian heritage brand in recent seasons, and Rihanna is nominated for the first time for her work at Fenty. Naomi Campbell, who was resplendent in Alexander McQueen on today’s red carpet, will receive the 2019 Fashion Icon award, whilst the ever dapper Giorgio Armani is being honoured with the Outstanding Achievement Award.

And so, as fashion’s biggest night kicks off, here’s your live look at who’s arriving on the red carpet. As a fashion lover, of course, you do not want to miss their appearance. Keep an eye out — you never know who you might see…
