Yellow is such a polarizing color. People either love it or hate it. Yellow is associated with warmer seasons, happiness, laughter and fun but many people stay away from it, mainly because they are convinced this color would not look good on them. Folks who are afraid of this shade do not have to stay away from it. But with careful consideration, even folks to abhor this bright hue can enjoy it in their outfits.
Small amounts of yellow in a wardrobe can brighten up even the drabbest outfits. When your clothes are accented by it, the color does not need to be anywhere near the face which is where most people have problems with it. You can try with yellow legging or pants
A Yellow colored scarf will warm up any fall or winter outfit. While the seasons are still in transition, start with a chiffon scarf. It is light enough to still wear if a warm day somehow sneaks its way into October but will still keep you from freezing on those early mornings. A pashmina will brighten up a wool or tweed coat in the grey fog of winter while still keep you warm.
If you choose the right shade of yellow, you will be able to wear it in larger pieces like a mustard sweater or chrysanthemum coat. Mix with neutrals to tone down the brightness and you are all set!
